80% of our digestion takes place in our mouth

When we eat foods and dink liquids, the greater portion of our digestion occurs in our mouth. We have saliva glands, that secret liquids that help break down, our foods and liquids. Salivary glands, produce enzymes, to help break down our foods, these enzymes help to assist, proteases and peptidases break down proteins, lipases, split fat into 3 fatty acids, carbohydases, split carbohydrates, such as starch into sugars. We need to chew our food with our teeth, and our saliva mixes, with our digestive enzymes, in our mouth to help break, down our foods and our liquids when we are eating. It is very beneficial, for us to coat our foods and liquids in our mouth with saliva, by chewing throughly, so that we aid in the digestion process, that takes place inside our mouth. When you drink liquids such as juices, mix them first with saliva, in order to help your digestive enzymes,to help break down your liquids, you are consuming. When you eat remember to slow down, and take a breath in between bites, chew so your foods are mixed, well with saliva, before you swallow, them this will help you to assimilate, your nutrients in your foods and liquids completely. Your stomach will be able to digest your foods, easier and your pancreas, small intestines and large intestines will be able to absorb the nutrients completely. ave fun and enjoy your meals, bon apetit.
